Be Thankful That God Speaks

Amos 8:11,12 : ¹¹Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: ¹²And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

This is just a prophecy talking about the 430 years between the OT and NT, when God didn't communicate with the people. We are so lucky, that we have an opportunity where God speaks to us, not only through the Word, through his Spirit, through nature, and in so many ways.

It's our job to listen. When was the last time God spoke to you, and you just sat still to listen to what he was saying. It's incredible the ways he communicates to us, but we just have to listen.

God wants us to talk to him, but he also wants us to listen, and subsequently obey.
