Read this out loud
Luke 23:34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing"...
He hung on a cross built for a murderer. He suffered the searing pain of a whip biting through his skin- my words. He lay waiting for the nails to be driven into his hands by me- with my actions, my foolish mistakes that somehow repeatedly happen. He hung naked- I betrayed him and stripped him of all honor, clothing him with shame. Yet he hung and looked upon the people who so badly needed him, who needed to be taught how to love, how to give, how to communicate...the same people who were screaming profanities and killing him in every possible way with their inhumane hatred- having already forgiven them. I was in that crowd..but when he looked at me,in between ragged breaths, he spoke his love for me.
