The Library

As I was sitting in the library today (I'm still here for the next 2 hours) I decided to revisit the basics and refresh myself on Who Jesus was, so I took a trip back to the very first message that Happy gave us and I was encouraged in the first 3 minutes by what I heard.

Those first 3 minutes of that message contained the vision and direction that Bibletalk was heading towards when we gathered together in that room for the first time. I highlighted some of the key points from those 3 minutes below:

~ Create a community who desire to be like Christ

~ Grow together, Get to know each other better,

~ Be a community that keeps in touch throughout the week, that strengthens each other, encourages each other, helps each other, comforts each other, is honest with each other.

~ The whole point of this is to be a family

~ Taking what you learn here back to your individual community, to the people that you encounter each day, and impacting their lives

~ Extending the kingdom, glorifying God. To be Witnesses

It's awesome isn't it? The amount of change that can happen over the course of 6 months is encouraging. As I was refreshed on the original vision that was set in place for BibleTalk, I was encouraged by the progress so far towards that vision.

As I took a look at my inbox to see the continuous e-mails going back and forth, as I thought about the amount of concern over each other's well beings, as I remembered the prayers we have been praying for each other, as I have been blessed by our times of worship that you guys have lead, as I have been motivated to learn the word more by what we've been taught, as I take comfort in the fact that I have friends in my life who truly care about me, as I spend majority of time praying for others because I know that others are already praying for me, I can't help but be grateful that the Lord has been moving in the midst of our lives and community in great and inspiring ways.

Don't forget what we're working towards, Don't forget The One we're doing this for, Don't forget how much growth and progress has taken place in your own life and the lives of those around you. Because those are the very things Satan tries to make us forget every single day.

Be encouraged, be refreshed, be intentional.

Let's continue striving towards that vision.
