Why are we afraid?

We as believers sometimes face fear in many things. We face fears in man, beast, and supernatural things. There are even many more things that may scare us. Even when we witness or go out to share Gods word, we may be afraid of the people who Satan works through. The question is why? I'm not trying to say that i am fearless, this is something I seriously need to work on.

Psalm 118:6,7- The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? The Lord is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on my enemies.

What can man do to us? God is with us and if they do something to us, we will still lead many lives through our story.

2 Timothy 4:18- The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

If we may die for Christ and become a martyr, it will all lead to glory. The Lord will bring us safely to his Kingdom.

There are two related verses that tell us this...

James 5:16- ...The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
2 Thessalonians 3:3- But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

From these two verses, I wanted to show that a true prayer to God is powerful and effective. With this prayer, we can obtain strength and protection from God and be able to defend against "The Evil one".

This is just something that I personally wanted to share because of things I have been facing for a couple of days in my life.
